The children were asked to toss or flip a penny this afternoon. "Heads or tails?" We collected and recorded our result on a piece of paper. They were very eager to toss the coins and to guess which side they got!
We counted and compared how many heads and tails we got after 25 tosses. Having counted carefully, we found that there were 12 heads and 13 tails. It was a good introduction of probability concept for the children. Through this little math experiment, the children practiced collecting and interpreting information.
